NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE The Manitoba Securities Commission (the “Commission”) will hold a public hearing (the “Hearing”) on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 9:30am, or as soon after that time as the Hearing can be held, and from day to day thereafter until the Hearing is concluded, at its offices at 500 – 400 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
PURPOSE The purpose of this proceeding is to consider whether it is in the public interest for the Commission to make the orders requested in the Statement of Allegations of Staff of the Commission dated March 20,
2026.
IMPORTANT The Hearing set for the date and time indicated above represents the INFORMATION first appearance in this matter. First appearances are administrative in nature and typically involve setting dates for the formal hearing and resolving any preliminary procedural issues. No evidence will be heard on this date.
Respondents attending or submitting evidence at the Hearing may be represented by counsel. Respondents – and their legal counsel, if represented – are required to attend the first appearance and must be prepared to provide their availability for the purpose of scheduling formal hearing dates.
If a Respondent fails to attend at the time and place identified in this Notice of Hearing, the Commission may proceed with the Hearing and make or give any direction, decision, order or ruling, as though the party were present.
A party to the proceedings may call witnesses and submit relevant evidence at the Hearing. A form or forms of summons to compel the attendance of witnesses may be obtained from the Director of the Commission at 500-400 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4K5.
Orders or settlements made against the Respondents in this matter may automatically take effect against them in other Canadian jurisdictions without further notice.
