Sale of Labour Sponsored Venture Capital Funds by
Restricted Registrants
Prior to MSC Notice 2000-11 dated April 25, 2001, The Manitoba Securities Commission has granted orders to the ENSIS Growth Fund Inc. and Crocus Investment Fund which would permit restricted registrants to sell those particular labour sponsored funds under certain conditions.
Staff wishes to advise all restricted registrants that while similar orders have again been granted to ENSIS Growth Fund Inc. and Crocus Investment Fund (Commission Order Nos. 3623 and 3583) for this year, the Commission does not intend to renew the orders any further. As of December 31, 2002, any restricted registrant wishing to sell labour sponsored funds will have to amend its registration in accordance with MSC Notice 2000-11.
