SALIM KHOJA and POWER WITHIN INC.

 

                                                                            

WHEREAS:

 

(A)         On January 12, 2017, staff of The Manitoba Securities Commission (“Commission”) issued a Notice of Hearing giving notice of its intention to hold a hearing pursuant to sections 19(5), 148.1(1), and 148.2 of The Securities Act (“Act”) with respect to Salim Khoja (“Khoja”) and Power Within Inc. (“PWI”) (collectively, the “Respondents”);

 

(B)       On April 26, 2017, this hearing came before a panel of the Commission;

 

(C)       Upon reviewing the documentary evidence and hearing submissions of counsel for staff of the Commission, no one appearing for the Respondents, and upon reviewing the Affidavits of Service filed and being satisfied as to service upon the Respondents, the Commission is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to make this order.

 

IT IS ORDERED:

 

1.                            THAT, pursuant to section 144(1)(c) of the Act, the method of service of the Notice of Hearing and Statement of Allegations upon the Respondents already made to the address of salim@powerwithin.com, is hereby validated as constituting service upon the Respondents.

 

2.                            THAT, hearing dates be set for September 18th to September 20th, 2017, commencing at 9:00 a.m.

 

3.                            THAT, staff forward to the Respondents correspondence confirming the hearing dates, and this correspondence is to be sent to:

 

(a)    email address salim@powerwithin.com; and

 

(b)    16 Pine Forest Place, Markham, Ontario, L6E 2B1.
